The electorate of Nicholls is named in honour of the distinguished couple Sir Douglas Ralph Nicholls, a Yorta Yorta, Baraparapa, Dja Dja Wurrung man, and Lady Gladys Nicholls, of the Baraparapa and Dja Dja Warrung people.
Voices of Nicholls acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of this country, the Yorta Yorta and Kulin Nations, inclusive of the Clans of the Dja Dja Warrung, Taungurung, Wurudjeri Woi Wurung, Wollithiga, Bangerang, Ulupna, Moira, Bangerang, Kwat Kwat, Yalaba, Ngurai-Illiam-Wurrung and all First Nations peoples who were born here or make this electorate their home.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and we journey together in a spirit of goodwill and reconciliation.
